Workforce Development Specialist
Dr. Cheryl Burditt Footer is a physical therapist in the United States. She holds MS and PhD degrees in physical therapy from the University of Miami (1990 and 1999). At the core of her career lies a strong ethical foundation that balances power and privilege with humility and perspective in preparing future leaders to meet the growing needs for rehabilitation around the world. Her passion for rehabilitation is evidenced through her dedication to advancing the rehabilitation professions through innovative clinical, educational, and interprofessional initiatives around the world for more than 30 years. Dr. Footer recently retired from academia but continues to be engaged in the progression of rehabilitation professionals in health systems as part of the Health Volunteers Overseas Rehabilitation Steering Committee, as an educational consultant for the Jackson Clinics Foundation, and as a workforce development consultant with Physiopedia.
